Australian Capital Territory is abbreviated as ACT. This territory in located in the South East of Australia. ACT is located within the territory of New South Wales. The capital city of Australia is Canberra which is said to be an extremely populated city. During the Federation conventions in the late 19th century, it was eventually decided to establish a federal controlled land which will govern the government machinery of the federal government.
